On a recent trip to Ohio to visit family and friends, I took some time to visit the Cleveland Botanical Garden and found it to be truly outstanding. The enormous facility includes a Glasshouse with Madagascar and Costa Rica Rain Forest environments, including free-flight butterflies. The gardens themselves include a Woodland Garden, an Herb Garden, Inspiration Gardens, and more, and a really spectacular Children’s Garden (more on that in a future post). Part of the Children’s Garden is set aside for the Scrounger’s Garden, a display of how recycled and upcycled items can be used creatively in a garden setting. Take a look at some of their ideas.
What do you think? Can you see yourself incorporating any of these ideas into your own garden? Tell us your favorites in the comments below!
