Watch the Birds of Paradise

by Stacy (Editors' Blog) on February 28, 2013

Our friends at Cornell Lab of Ornithology have been hard at work for many year to capture amazing video of the bird-of-paradise family. This project took 8 years and 18 expeditions to complete. Experts traveled to New Guinea, Australia and nearby islands to get all the birds in this family. Take a look at this video for an overview of the project. Then be sure to check out their website, Birds of Paradise Project, to learn more.

These photos are wonderful. But, I must say that God made them the way they are. That’s the bottom line. He has a sense of humor. Some of the movements are humorous, others are very elegant. God knew what he was doing when he put together the colors and told them what dance to do. He is really Great!

Amen! Such a stretch of imagination to think evolution could have produced such amazing beauty and wonder and delight! Only an Amazing, Loving, Creative God could have fashioned birds and all the incredible detail we see and then said, and God saw that it was good!

Sure, God created these amazing birds through the process of evolution. I don’t understand why people think God and Evolution are mutually exclusive.
