Birds & Blooms’ Friday Fun Photo for February 8, 2013: Chickadee on Me! by Mike Swaga of Newcastle, Ontario.
Mike writes, “My daughter, Holly, brought some bird food along while walking her dog. First she held out a handful and whistled, and a goldfinch landed. Later, two finches flew in for a snack. Then she put some on her head and –showing no fear at all– this chickadee perched and feasted away.”
We love this photo! All the joy we have for chickadees is right there on Holly’s face. And what in the world might that little bird be thinking, perched up on that fabulous, colorful hat?
Do you have a fun caption for what this sweet chickadee could be thinking? We want to hear it!
