Last weekend, our team spent three full days at the Biggest Week in American Birding in northwest Ohio. We didn’t have to go far to go bird-watching, though. There was a nesting American robin in a tree only a few yards from where our booth was set up. It was awesome seeing the robin on her nest through binoculars and it was even more awesome to take a peek at the nest through a spotting scope. But what really takes the cake is this video of the robin landing on her nest and then taking off a few seconds later. Through the power of digiscoping and modern technology like iPhones, this kind of up close view of birds is possible. Thanks to Jeff from Leica Camera for giving me this incredible view of a robin.
