we have a bird we have not seen iin boulder city ne. looks like a tufted purple finch. can you te tell me if there is such? yhank yu
Hi Lucille-no, there is no tufted-type Purple Finch. However, male Purple Finches can show a peaked crown that looks tufted. Check out the drawings and photos on this Cornell Lab of Ornithology webpage.
