A few weeks ago, the May Dreams Garden blog was featured here at Birds & Blooms. The blogger, Carol, mentioned that she started “Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day” on the 15th of each month, a day for bloggers to share the blooms currently on display in their own gardens. I loved the idea, and have decided to start doing it on my own blog as well as here at Birds & Blooms.
Below is a collage of my current blooms – click through to the slideshow for bigger pictures and flower and plant names. While February is often a lean month even here in Florida, this year’s very mild winter means a plethora of blooms in my garden. I also included some lovely ripe holly berries, and I cheated a little… my hippeastrum bulbs are literally seconds away from bursting into bloom, so I included them even though they’re not open yet. They’ll be over by the time next month rolls around.
What’s blooming in your garden today? Tell us about it in the comments, and if you have your own blog, why not join in the fun and do your own post?
