Birdwear (bird-related products you can wear, hold or accessorize with in some way) seems to be everywhere these days. Who knew it would be so fashionable to be a birder? Here are some of the great things I’ve seen around. What about you? Do you have any birdwear or have you seen anything fun around? I’d love your ideas because we’re planning a birdwear products page in an upcoming issue.
I found this owl shirt (warning: I love owl stuff) from Mia’s Unique Etsy store. My daughter is 5 and loves birds. I think it’s calling to me.
Mod Cloth is a fun online store with 6 pages of birdwear. Just do a search for “birds” and you’ll come up with lots of options. Here are four of my favorite (I even own the scarf).
The Fossil brand has a line of bird purses and wallets that I’ve seen around many department stores. If you’re looking for one of these, try a local department store that carries Fossil or if you have a Fossil outlet by you, try there, too.
Etsy also has a huge amount of bird products from shirts and wallets to bags and jewelry. Etsy is made up of all independent artists, so you can feel good about supporting a individual with your purchase. At least, that’s how I justify it. Here’s a unique bag I found from the Retrofied store:
Okay, one final thing. I know it’s supposed to be a lunch bag for kids, but I would carry this, too! It’s so colorful and cute, available at Urban Baby.
